Blokus is a fascinating strategy game for the whole family based on very simple rules that take less than a minute to learn. Yet it has the depth to challenge both experts and beginners. Each player chooses a color and is given a set of 21 pieces. Players take turns placing pieces on to the board, each starting from the corner of their color. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! Pieces of the same color cannot be in contact along an edge. There are no restrictions on how pieces of different colors may touch each other. The goal is to cover as much of the board with your pieces as possible. Be tactical! Blockade your opponents while expanding your own territory! The game ends when none of the players can fit a piece on to the board. The winner is the player for whom the total area of pieces remaining is the lowest! |

Suitable for all levels of play

| I found this game fulfilling on all levels. Most important, it was playable 5 minutes out of the box. It was playable by both me and my wife as well as my 6 year old daughter. It is extremely easy set up and clean up - once you use baggies for each of the colored sets of pieces. It was easy to play at the level my daughter wanted to play but was also very strategic and cut-throat when playing with my wife. I HIGHLY recommend this game. |
